I'd follow it up the food chain so to speak. As in talk to your supervisor first and if they do nothing. I'd take it to the union and then HR etc. Til someone helps you get the problems worked out.

Take it to management and the Union. If they don't help take it to ethics point. From here on out document the verbal attacks, time, place, what was said, and who was around, including witnesses, customers, etc. If you take it to ethics point it goes to your district HR rep, and having a witness statement at that point will be extremely, helpful.

do what the others in this thread suggested and go up the food chain. you said you have multiple people agreeing with you, so you have witnesses. not only do you have a case yourself, but other people i'm assuming have a problem with being harassed as well. forgive me if i'm misconstruing the information.

It depends on what you are calling harassment. I have to put up with harassment everyday that I work by coworkers who hate me. At least I consider it harassment when people are talking badly about you to new employees (getting them to hate you before they even meet you), are aggressively in your face telling you what needs to be done (because they didn't do it. Then off in the corner putting you down because you're going to do your job before you do theirs. Union told me that isn't harassment and I can't file a grievance on another union member. Management just said 'OK'

I don't know what you're going through exactly but where I am there is alot of cussing, hollering, and general disrespect from heads and back ups. Management doesn't do anything about it and sees it go on. It's a daily event for there to be a screaming outburst. I've given up on it stopping. I just try to steer clear of the drama queens.

Its hard for me to avoid the drama when she is technically my "boss". Although I was sent to this store to do my job, not put up with her pettiness and drama.

By harassment I mean verbal attacks and put downs, done in front of other people including in my own department. How can they respect or trust me as a dept lead when they're seeing that its ok to treat me this way? This isn't standard workplace banter or joking. This is bullying.

I wonder what would happen if I just went to ethicspoint now. Would she know I said something?

Record it!! I'm sure you, like everyone else, always has your phone near you. When you walk into your department grab your phone and push record. I'm actually going to be doing that today when I go to work. I found out, purely by accident, that my recorder on my phone will pick up all conversations in my whole department, even with the fans going and PA announcements. I also found it it will record for my whole 8 hour shift. They are constantly telling me I need physical proof. Now I'm going to get it. You need to also.

I've told my supervisor I told my manager of the store they said that they would take care of it they were looking on and nothing I got hurt and then I got fire while I was on medical leave what the hell people that it's a new thing with Kroger is that if you're not on the schedule for two weeks you get fired I've been off work for three months nobody thought to call me

I was thinking of contacting my coordinator. I was just unsure if it would be a good idea to contact her before talking to the store manager.

I would always talk to the Store Manager 1st, unless the Store Manager is the issue! Depending on the level of the person your referring too, your Coordinator might want to also know.

Any type of recording whether it's audio and or visual is strictly prohibited at work. This applies to all places of employment, not just Kroger. You can be fired if you're caught.

So youre using his cooler as your storage space for your job? have you even asked if you can use his cooler? im a produce manager and i would be pissed if someone in meat or dairy just starts stacking their milk or frozen items in my cooler without asking me about it.

Nutrition and produce we're sharing that cooler before even got there they didn't share any for seven years it wasn't like I just went and put stuff in there no I had to actually get things out of there and I try by myself is all I was working with just me

Nutrition actually is a Grocery Department now! I would suggest you talk to your Store Manager and ask him/her where your designated stock location is. After your Store Manager tells you where it is to be! Key Retailing Sign it, get the Red Tape and OWN IT!

No one in Kroger is a GOD (Some have the mentality)

I have actually been told to record, because the cameras don't have audio. I have been told they need proof before they can do anything. So, management has said to record, take pictures, and copy documents.

So I finally said something to one of my Co's as well as my Deli/Bakery coordinator. Turns out they've both seen it too. And are going to talk to her. My coordinator said that is something she needs to work on and understood completely where I was coming from. She won't let me give up because of this. :)

I think she might have been talked to already because today she spoke so calmly and civilly... Its like night and day sometimes with her. But if she can be polite i will be too.

Can a manager call an employee when she is on her day off, scheduled to come in later that day or when the managers herself is off employees working? There's this manager from drug dept. and she calls me when I'm still sleeping or on my day off and she call me or sends me messages while I'm working and she's already clocked out for therapy... what do I do to stop it
