No real advice as I've never worked in Frozen before. But just putting in a request for the bakery peeps in your store. Please be courteous of them when they have to get truck.
Not sure if it's exclusive to just my store. But, bakery stuff tends to share space with frozen's stuff on the truck and frozen's stuff is usually in front. So whoever works the truck, if it's you or another co-worker. Please remember to grab your stuff and move it to the back freezer or take it over to your area once truck comes in.
I know we all get busy and so forth. And we all have our daily demands. But it really is a pain in the ass having to slow down your morning progress, because you have to wait for another department to get their stuff. And be told it will be another hour of waiting. Which, I get getting the truck is a bit of a process. But just remember we all have **** to get in the morning and work it out by a particular time. And when someone is holding things up, it kind of holds up everyone else too.
P.S. And please no, body slamming of bakery's stuff as well. Have had this happen at my store. Just cause some cakes were intermingled with frozen's stuff one time. The dude(from frozen), instead of letting me grab the box or handing it to me. Chose to slam it down onto my rest of my stuff. Needless to say only one cake was actually salvageable from that box. And of course, being one of the items that we actually needed and that had been getting scratched like hell over the course of several weeks. It was annoying as **** to only have one be worthwhile to put out on the floor.
Thanks again and good luck in your new position. :)
What's your total store/frozen sales? How many hours in the department? Is it worked day or night? Tips would just be to get a system going based around truck schedules and hours. Keep organized, make sure numbers are always right, scan that residual, shoot dem holes & lows. Keep inventory as low as possible without risk to the customer. It'll make your life much easier.
