According to those surveys. Now we're going to be pushed harder to be more friendly to people. Forced hellos to anyone within arm's length, telling them to take the survey on the receipt, blah blah blah.
I'm surprised my store isn't at the bottom. Although I did learn a few weeks back that bakery's friendly score dropped to 23%. But to me not really all that surprised really. As most of the peeps in that part of my dept. live to snipe, back stab, etc. And in general be rather pissy towards one another at times.
I'm quite sure customers see that. And over hear a whole heck of a ton of BS they never really bargained for. Kind of really changes your mood and shopping experience, I'd think.
If you look at OSAT, a lot of stores are not living up to expectations. But its because every store is different and some have more difficulty being what the customers/company expects. Their thinking is more and more people doing the survey is going to increase scores! Personally I do not do any survey on any receipt ANYWHERE...... If I don't like the service or items, I just don't shop there!
If you look at some departments/stores the higher the volume the lower the scores. We are trying to be too much to too many customers, you know why AMAZON is successful.....less interaction, fast delivery, decent price and that is with people paying $99 a year to "belong".
Amazon, doesn't take coupons, doesn't give rainchecks, you select the item you want and that is it!
haha, Actually I'm surprised more associates do not do that! Then you drive your score, drive MGMT leaving you alone.........and get whatever Award your KMA gives for OSAT
If you do that, just make sure you share the love with a few other associates!
Most systems Kroger has to report Customer Satisfaction are flawed. How can you have HIGH % Premium Loyal Customers and then they not be satisfied in Kroger's eyes.
My store is #1 in Ralphs. Our store is at 85% Yes, it's rigged. Yes, we cheat. But.... We learned by other's mistakes. A few managers were fired because corporate found that the same IP address was used on many surveys, and thus, went to the security tapes and found the culprits. So.... All you have to do is get many receipts out of the trash or on the floor and do the survey. But.... After each survey, you need to unplug your modem and wait for 10 seconds. After you plug it in, you will now have a new IP address. We at the store have been doing this for over a year. Also, for every name mentioned in the survey, the member gets a $5 gift card. I have my regular customers that come in every day for lunch etc. do a survey. We usually have about 20 comments a day!!
What a hoot!!! I have worked in a couple stores and do the same thing. Except, I go to stores in the same district and are fairly close to my house, get receipts, and write horrible reviews just to piss them off. I actually name people and tell how terrible the service is and how bad the store is. And they wonder why their scores are 50%. Yes I am very vindictive. Yes it is petty and mean. I don't care. If a store gets 2 highly dissatisfied a day they will get a 50-60%. Throw in a few names and watch em squirm. This also makes my store look better because it messes up the average. Not to mention it makes the District Mgr look bad too. I just love screwing with them. I have actually left bad reviews of DM's and other Coordinators. Damn I love my job
I hate the people I work with. Not all, but quite a few and the mgr is a prick. My next door neighbor always gives a highly dissatisfied and will always mention people that haven't been nice to him. Our scores are really poor. Its awesome when the store mgr sees his name on a survey and its a terrible review. Serves him right.
Awesome! My manager is a jerk too. I had my friend send in a survey and say the manager was looking at her boobs and overheard him say to a cashier how nice her nipples were. The next day at work all the upper mgmt. was in and questioning people.

Your store had people doing surveys when they came in on store computers? Why would they sit in there and do that?

Your neighbor is awesome. The customers at my store are so pathetic that they won't even complain anonymously on a survey. You tell them to take the survey because corporate sees it, and then the idiot customers give all kinds of excuses why they won't do the survey. Well if you don't want to tell anyone who matters (cause a cashier isn't gonna be able to do what a manager can do) then shut the hell up! But they know how to speak up, when they want something for free, or if you don't accept thier invalid 50 cent coupon.

More like 5 minutes and a phone call asking for a modem IP refresh. 10 seconds is not long enough and does not actually do anything (the ISP end n networking bits do remember it and re-assign the same IP at the backend / head switch of the network.) Publlc facing IPs (internet) operate very differently then Private Range IPs (your home router, modem config page, etc.)
Also, be aware of IPs being able to change, but location data remaining the same. Doesn't matter how many times it changes, unless you change and run your VPN every time, it will send a red flag up for corpo IT to look into. I work in IT so I am well aware of how this works on a technical level

Kroger isn't gonna spend the time using IT dept to dig further than past the IP. Besides, If there aren't that many phony surveys in all of Kroger, it would be very difficult and expensive. OSAT has been around for years now and all these tricks work and nobody is the wiser. They may suspect, but cant PROVE it
