Just something customer expect, but if you ask any of the Service Desk people.....its pointless. We do not have a Gift Receipt lookup function, so the slips are simple I purchased this item. If you return the item to another store, there is no way to look up the price the customer paid.
Okay, so I have another question. Why do the Uscans give the customer, at the end of their transaction, an option to print out a gift receipt? It's the button right next to the other button that gives them the option to opt out of getting a regular receipt.
The purpose is to confuse the customer and distract them from the card button.
"EXCUSE ME!!! I ALREADY PAID AND I EVEN PRESSED THE BUTTON TO PRINT MY RECEIPT!!! WHERE THE HELL IS MY RECEIPT!?!?!? YOUR MACHINES ARE ALWAYS BROKEN!!! THAT'S WHY I NEVER SHOP HERE, AND WHY I NEVER USE SELF CHECKOUT!!!"
"Hi! Please select your form of payment. Thank you for shopping with us!"
"I ALREADY PAID!!! I ENTERED MY PIN NUMBER AND EVERYTHING!!! IF YOU DOUBLE CHARGE ME, I WILL GET YOU FIRED!!!"
"Hi! Would you like help selecting your form of payment? *tap* Have a great day!"
"WHAT THE HELL KIND OF RECEIPT IS THIS? THERE'S NO PRICES!!!"
"Hi! You deselected the print receipt option and selected the gift receipt option. That's an excellent gift. Thank you for shopping with us!"
So the recipient of the gift has a receipt, but it doesn't have the price on it, in case they want to return/exchange it.
And the purchaser keeps the original receipt.
