A lot of male department heads come off as gay but that's just because they have to keep a good relationship with everyone. And believe it or not, men appreciate feedback and kudos a lot so that's why they might seem a little too "friendly" to someone who's never been in DH position and don't know what it's like to keep up your relationships.

I'm not talking about just men, dummy. And I'm not talking about mutual hugs, I'm talking about unwanted behavior towards the same sex.but you might be one of the closeted ones I'm talking about.
Never assume anything about anyone's sexual orientation unless they come out and say it directly themselves. Don't spread rumors or speculation either.

That's why I'm asking in general on a forum. Just wanting you know if it herself have seen he same thing.
But you know what? I'll assume whatever the hell I want.
I had one gay DH. Theres was no hiding it and he didnt even want to. Unfortunately there were rumors spread that undermined his ability to lead his team.
I swing both ways though mostly same-sex. It hasnt been a problem for me in my two stores. I come correct with everyone and keep a professional distance at work. I dont advertise but some of my team know about my relationships.
why does it matter?? I know kroger is a southern chain but jeez. Gay employees shouldnt be stereotyped as any more creepy than straight ones. Trust me, there are some creepy straight guys at almost every store.
