i am on arkansas medicaid but i was on medicaid before i got this job and have remained on it after sending my check stubs. i only got a 20 cent raise in my course of working here. i still work close to the same hours, roughly 30 per week or less although after my wage garnishment for student loans is over i might try to work more.
i've been getting emails from healthcare.gov daily and idk if i should sign up for kroger's insurance. i would like to pay for my own insurance as a responsible adult and citizen, but tbh after i get my yearly eye exam and new glasses i don't plan on seeing a doctor. this is the same reason i don't pay union dues, because in the long run it's quite a bit of money. do you think i will get kicked off medicaid; i don't see why but idk if the laws have changed
If you can signup for Kroger Insurance and it covers what your needing it to cover....I'm sure its cheaper then heathcare.gov. If you do for some reason get dropped at work, I'm sure that would be considered a "Life Event".......Save the money!
I get about $26 deducted from my paycheck every week to cover health insurance. Where I work at, you onky need to work a minimum of 24 hours a week to be eligible.
Personally, I would check out both-- look at the Kroger plan and compare it to what you could get under the healthcare.gov site. I know I just did that for my husband--and healthcare.gov was cheaper for better coverage than what he had been offered through his company!! I am just waiting for the government to finally up my veteran's disability so that I can add him to my coverage with the VA-- and it will be free for HIM there, too..
