And he/she is an outright thief too! Not sure when it happened, or really who it was that did it. But the other day when out doing the CAP report, the bakery back up manager found a package of the sugar cookies(16 count ones) ripped open and 5 cookies taken out of the package and it was tossed back up on the shelf like nothing happened.
I'm sure it has happened in the past at some point or other. Or even at other stores and may happen again. But seriously what in the world is going on with people these days? I'm not perfect, but damn, even I know how to PAY FOR what I want, BEFORE I rip it open and start munching on it. And what is even more ridiculous, is the fact that if they came over and asked for a sample they could have gotten one and still bought a package of the sugar cookies. Good grief.
We find stuff like that all the time. The oddest one was when someone had taken a bite out of a hunk of cheese and then re-wrapped it and put it back in the case. You could see the teeth marks in the cheese.
If you still question things, you haven't worked in the store long enough. After a while, nothing really surprises you. While you want to believe ALL humans have character and class...its really not the case.

I don't blame you on that one. It's like that for our Pastry chef's stuff. Although there are still some people that think that they can just lift up the glass on her case and get out whatever they want as well there too. Definitely have to tell them no, the getting stuff out of THAT case is only for employees.
