Had a quick question for ya. I was wondering if it were possible to not get your vacation if someone in a more senior position has bumped you out of a particular week?
Naturally I'm asking, cause I was told this is likely the case of what happened to me. As I had originally put down to have my week vacation on July 15th. And naturally I figured if that wasn't a go they would just put it on another date, like they did last year. But when I looked on the vacay schedules posted upstairs, I saw that they had scratched out the 15th and put in the 29th of July but that was scratched out too. And it also said above the deli paper that either 1 part timer or 2 full timers for something as well, followed by an approved message.
So I asked one of the store managers about it, and have thus been told to talk to my DH(whom had already left for the day by the time I was leaving and checked the vacay schedule). I also heard that I should probably talk to the person that puts in the vacations or the bakery back up manager. Which I plan on going to all 3 to see what is what tomorrow when I'm back in there.
But in general though, I was wondering if I could be totally bumped out of a vacation this year or not. I mean I've heard through others that they have even the new people scheduled for vacations as well this year, and I know for a fact quite a few of them haven't even been there 6 months. So not sure how they are getting their vacations so soon(figure it might be do to some folks in deli not getting their vacays properly scheduled at all last year and they are finally getting around to them taking them this year. But still I hope I'm not getting bumped out altogether this year, do to the managers catching up with last year's mistake).

I can take it. Just that, it seemed like they had nixed me out of an alternative week to when I could get it as opposed to my initial week that I had requested.
So mini update. I talked to the back up manager about it, she didn't know anything about what was going on. So I talked to my DH and he checked over the schedule saying that he knew some folks had gotten bumped up a week ahead but was sure that I was scheduled.
However, when he looked at the schedule in the office, I wasn't written down in any month. So after a little while of helping with some other stuff and me filling the floor and helping with some cookies. He came back and flat out asked if I wanted the 29th. So I said sure that works fine by me. I'm putting it in now as we speak, so they can't say that I still can't get it.
