Our break room is now called "The Lounge." They rearranged a few posters and the chairs and tables, and removed the cabinet doors and places lots of condiment packets in there. In addition to a brand new microwave that replaced an older nastier one.
They literally put the words "The Lounge" in giant letters across the wall when you enter it. Like it's some hip place to be.
At least they kept the TV and the fridge. That's all that matters.
Actually, I noticed our store has been spending money on new stuff lately. We're getting a new liquor store. I wonder if they'll even replace the missing door for the tobacco area. Most of the shelves there, the glass doors fell off. Anybody can just walk in there and grab a smoke.
Nah. Our break room is on the second floor, all the way in the back of the store. To access it, you have to go through the elevator or a flight of stairs. But not before you see a giant sign that says "Employees Only." No way a regular customer would know where it is unless you specifically told them.
Jesus, your store is getting a "State Liquor Store"? That is really going to drive all the upstanding customers into that store. The glass tobacco corrals are know for falling apart.
Jesus, that is going to be a interesting location for a state store isn't that kind a small area, unless you eliminate the other area near there! Getting deliveries is going to be fun too, I don't believe there is going to be an easy way to get a skid of product there..
