Excuse me for asking, but how come you rarely see slim or healthy weight people without a leg or no legs using the mobility scooters?
Is it possible Kroger management WANTS fat people to get fatter in order to get more insulin sales in the pharmacy?
What is my moral obligation in my conversations with the customers? Would it be a good idea to ask management to have pamphlets on the steering column of the scooters that informs the customers on 'How to prevent diabetes' thru consistent exercise and WALKING?
A customer starts getting angry because electric scooter cart was going dead and was only able to move about 10 feet at a time, stop for about 30 seconds then move on. The customer wasn't far from checkout. She just keeps sitting there griping to me to get another so I go to the front to check for another and both of them are dead. The customer finally made it to the front while I was heading back so guess anger paid off. Note: You could tell the customer wasn't handicapped. The customer just approximately weighed between 350-400 lbs and was too lazy to walk.
I just posted something like that the other day. It annoys me too. I can tell a lot of them can walk, but are too lazy to do it. If they really needed it, they would either have their own or a cane inside it. I really wanted to tell that lady to bring your own or show her the nutrition area, but oh well that's people for you.
I'm guessing you must know someone that uses them that doesn't really need to? The reason it annoys me is because they run the batteries dead for others who really need them due to age, broken bones, etc not because they're overweight and don't feel like walking around. I just know good and well that one I saw wasn't disabled bc she walked out the doors and to her car in a non handicapped space fine
We sometimes have teenagers use them though management is sensible enough to shoo them off them. As for fat people.... well they do have trouble pushing regular carts around to load up on soft drinks, chips, ice cream, and meat while they wait for their prescriptions to be filled so they gotta use the scooters. We have this one regular couple that comes in and loads up on all this stuff every week and it's just baffling to myself and others, at guess at some point you just stop caring...
I am sure most of them can walk, they are just too lazy. I feel bad for those who really need a scooter, but none are available because fatty needs more pie.
the kids using them are the worst. No wait, the parents letting their fully able bodied kids screw around in them are the worst.
Some people have no shame. If you ever really want to know how little a person can care about the next, just look at all those fat and lazy slobs rolling around in those motor carts and leaving them in the parking lot to top it off.
I actually prefer they leave it in the parking lot, rather than wait for an employee to walk by (even if they clearly aren't cart pushers) and harass them about bringing it in for them. Or worse, call the store and make the service desk deal with it. As long as they're leaving it near the handicapped area where a cart pusher can find it and bring it in, or someone who needs it can use it to get to the fully charged ones. When I used to find them anywhere else I wanted to shoot someone.

A lot of people who do use mobility aids *can* walk without them if needed, however it may be painful especially if during prolonged periods. You cannot tell and a lot of people are good at hiding when they are experiencing serious pain because they have to
We have the perfectly fine using them at my store. But you wouldn't want to say something because of the color or their skin and create the next starbuck incident. I bet those things cost 5 thousand dollars so your welfare ass can't shop without having to walk.
I weigh 300 pounds. I've been on keto for two years and I've lost 100 pounds. As a result of the weight, both my knees are gone. I need surgery to fix them. I can't walk far. The pain in my knees is hard to bare. But because of people like you, I refuse to use a cart. I just take the pain and cry all the way home. Being fat hurts. They probably can't walk that good. I know I cant
I seen a few Asians and white people use them. Young and looked healthy. Heck I even seen a women eating grapes outta the bag and the bag of grapes wasn't clean nor wet and ate the full bag then leave it in the bin so I threw the bag away and let my assistant manager know what happen. Idk what they gonna do but oh well.
Yeah, it's pathetic. So fat that you can't walk, so you get in a motorized cart and go around to buy more stuff to shove down your piehole.
Saw one today. Like 450 pounds, riding around in this thing and shoving Little Debbie cakes and Twinkies and potato chips. smh Absurd.
There's another one, typical, insanely fat and has her husband and kids walking around with her, and she barks out orders at them. She runs the house and everything. And the whole family orbits around her, like a giant planet. And, really, that's half the reason she's fat, because they all do everything for her.
