You, of course, are a troll.

But let me play along and pretend you are serious.   YOU are the type of employee we need to get rid of. There are too many of your kind around here, wasting both your time and ours.  And getting a paycheck for doing as little as possible.  Shame!!

 This ^ right here.

Troll or not, it pisses me off when some jackass THINKS they can get away with screwing around when they are supposed to be working. I bust my ass ALL FRACKIN DAY and some wiseass gamer decides to play some online game on his/her device whilst in hiding or on the toilet. You are paid to WORK. NOT play Fortnite or whatever game you have while on the clock. I would make it my personal mission to rat out each and every slacker i see at my work, but its not worth my time or worth loosing my job when i beat the crap out of them if they try and fight me for calling them out. Get off the damned game, get back to work and do what you are paid to do.

<sorry about the rant, its just it pisses me off when some people get away with playing on their devices while the rest of us work our asses off>

Careful, with that attitude and heartless take on giving your workload to someone else and getting paid for it, they might promote you.

Spit on a customer and they might make you district Manager.

At work we have a stock area upstairs where we store old chairs and whatnot. Its  GREATA PLACE to hide and play game or two. I have a Nintendo Switch and have played it often up there hidden in a "hole" i made for myself. I play for 30 min at a time as to not raise suspicion.

Nobody can sneak away for longer than 10 min without anybody noticing. Unless you are a worthless piece of sh8t. Then by all means, nobody misses you.

Actually it's pretty easy to do. Been doing it for 6 months and it won't stop any time soon. its a great place to get paid for 8 hours while only actually putting in 5.

OP, you must be a courtesy clerk.  (BTW, nothing against courtesy clerks who are good workers) but if you were in ANY OTHER JOB POSITION in the ENTIRE Kroger store, it would be completely impossible for you to just "disappear" for long periods of time without SERIOUS repercussions.

Like, can all you loyal KEF readers (who are mostly Kroger employees) just imagine if the OP was a deli / hot chicken fry cook and steam table attendant??  He/she wouldn't be able to get anything done........chicken scorching.............oven beeping...........telephone ringing............timers going off..............customer yelling "where is the help? I need to order 50 pieces of fried chicken!!"

Since you sound as if you are between the ages of 16 and 19, and you live in your parent's basement, play games all day, and don't have a real interest in legitimately earning a paycheck by WORKING, what is gonna happen to you when you grow up and have to face REAL LIFE, with all it's problems, utility bills, and responsibilities?  You can't depend on others to do all the "dirty work" for you forever.   Just a head's up.

This job is nothing more than a throw away job. My life is on track to be successful. Unlike you I wont be stuck at kroger for the rest of my life and just barely making it with the pay you get monthly.

I'm not a CC as well nor work in deli, meat, bakery dept as well. Again it's easy to work the system here. Taking advantage everyday I can when I'm scheduled for 8 hrs but only put in 5 hours worth.h37h7

Do NOT disappear and be gone the entire time. They WILL catch on.

Helpful tip: what i do is go to my hidden area and play for 10-15 min. Come back and work for 20 min or so, then go back and play again. Rinse and repeat. That way as long as they see you, they wont get too suspicious. And to make it look good, if you are a cc or a uc, drag a broom along or bucket and mop for effect. If you work in other depts do what works best for you..

Dont let others tell you what to do. Your fully able to make your own decisions
