Go to a different district entirely perhaps. Or maybe if the manager is ultra chill, they can override a "do not rehire" usually if labled not rehirable, in Kroger's eyes there is a legit reason
I know someone who quit, got put on the Not rehirable list, then got rehired. This person has a friend working as a Lead/Manager in one of the departments. I guess that's what you need to do. Get to know someone who has some say and ask them to get you taken off.
Have you tried blowing the fat man behind the desk? It might be sweaty down there and smell like sour milk but if you really want to be hired again....
My understanding is a store manager can authorize the hiring of an individual that has been marked not for rehire, but I don't know if it's 100% true or not. Even if it is though, you're likely going to have to make a very good case to the HR co-manager in order for the HR co-manager to get the store manager to agree to rehire you. Some HR co-managers and/or store managers won't even bother because they feel people that have been marked not for rehire are more trouble than they're worth/not trustworthy. It all depends on the HR co-manager and ultimately the store manager at the store you're trying at.
And it's funny you mention the words "non rehireable"...There are some places in this world that will hire ANYBODY aka any body, as long as they're a body...A lot of retail places will need workers for the holidays and there are just not enough to go around! Doesn't matter how much experience you have, as long as you can work...
I can't imagine someone being without a job for too long...But at the same time, that also depends on the field you're working in, the area in which you live or work and the type of job/pay rate...Having "a job" doesn't necessarily mean "living well" or "making ends meet" in this economy, which is why you're starting to see more minimum wage increases...Of course, there is still a long ways to go yet to match the cost of living...
What a manager suggests to that you should call someone to come get you from work because your having a panic attack. Is that something I'd marked as unhireable for?
