Sounds like you guys aren't worth a crap and hardly do your jobs good enough. You're a teenager? More likely you are. If you did your job and showed maturity then I'm sure you wouldnt be micro-managed.

Thank goodness I work overnight. No manager to deal with accept for the last 2 hours of my shift.

 Not always true.

I had a boss at my former employer who micromanaged  his employees no matter how well they did their job.

That was just how he was.

This is how kroger is.  They want to know what employees are doing from punch in til punch out.  Grocery stocking cards:  "ran aisle 2 (100 cases) from 4:00pm til 5:30pm, minus 10 minutes for a dump.  DSD used to have an "off the dock" log, we literally had to write down anytime we left the dock and why.  I used to write "took dump x:xx-x:xx"

It happens. It sucks. They know it. Life goes on.

I will say that I know a dept. manager (with many decades in the grocery business, by the way...) who now won't come in on his days off, no matter how much they plead for help, just so he doesn't have to deal with this recent management BS...He came in on a day off a while back (per their request), and got yelled at all day for the stupidest things...He just got fed up and said "I'm never doing THEM a favor again!"

For those who would still come in anyway...I guess some people must be gluttons for punishment!no

Try having one of your cashiers think they run the front end. They're rude, nippy and disrespectful to their staff. He/she down talks to everyone and there is no team with her. He/she plays favorites and it's damn obvious. He/she pretty much does what he/she wants and goes where he/she wants to. If he/she's assigned a particular role for the day he/she won't do it. he/she'll do her main selected roll and that's about it. he/she's sort of a prick and not so nice. If he/she wasn't the only one in a select roll where I needed her skills should something go wrong I'd burn a bride not so nicely. One of the managers got into a big fight with her because he/she over audited his numbers. He's a rule follower down to dot your "i's" cross your "t's" but if you make one dam error he/she's all over you and disrespectful about it. Even when you think you're doing things right he/she tries to write you up for it.

A checker writing up a fellow employee? Man, he/she's hate me because I'd just laugh my a$$ off at that empty threat.

But we DO have a booth person and yeah she's cool and all...but she THINKS she runs the front end, EVEN when she's not assigned to that task for the day.she does micromanage, and yes, it's annoying as hell, but she is fair and does recognize work being done, so I cant say too much.

I got written up for avoiding an employee with an mindset wanting to man-handle me. They said I was discriminating disability employee. I was defending myself.

I would have refused the write up and said "how am I discriminating against him? I didn't know i was supposed to let him man handle me then knock him through the wall." My (non) applogies..I will.knock him senseless when he puts hands on me so he will not feel discriminated against."

It's interesting, isn't it, that with all this vast desert of adequate employee numbers nation wide, in every industry, the collective reponse from companies has been to cut even more hours, step up the pressures and expectations----and micro manage and BULLY WHAT FEW EMPLOYEES THEY HAVE LEFT. Gee, why that last? To run the long termers off. Keep that revolving door of newbies going. They're cheaper than peanuts.

None of any of this is random. It's all connected to this Plan-demic that we just think is over with. Ohhhh no, we're not done; just getting ready for a new and as yet to be known phase.

Just follow the numbers. Look at the business news. The world's richest corporations have made more money throughout this bullsht than ever before in the history of mankind. It's all connected.

---not to mention jack up the prices on everything. First it was cuz of covid, now they're blaming it all on a war we're not even in. F U C K the rich, man. Time for another French Revolution! Off with their heads! biggrin
