I'm not sure who the current mods are but they are doing a good job monitoring this site. Three months ago any thing went and unethical posts did not get deleted.

I have noticed less troll posts myself, so I thank the mod for that.

Thank you for blocking these people. It was out of control. There was something wrong with these people the way they were doing.

People? Plural? What if it was all just one person? One person with nothing better to do in their entire lives than to be continuously annoying on a forum about kroger.

it was roughly 3 people. The first two gave up pretty quickly after their home IP stopped working but the final person just kept getting proxy services. I had to block their home, phone, and roughly the entire IP range of 7 hosting services until they gave up. They kept screwing up. They would post "IP ban FAIL" to the board so I'd delete their post followed quickly by banning the entire network making it useless and forcing them to get a new program. I don't think they realize that that information is publicly available.

If I combine all the times they tried to access the board from their home, phone and proxy services while banned is almost 500 times. Trolling here was their addiction.

I'm not going to show IP ranges for privacy but the last 6 are proxy networks and the first with more than 0 is a proxy network. 285 is their home IP while 24 is their phone.

Must be hard being forced to go cold turkey.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!  This confirmed my suspicions that only a very, very small number of people was doing all that trolling.  And I honestly feel that they have some Serious mental health problems. Hopefully they will get some kind of help.

Yes. Thank you. Its nice to actually click on a topic and actually see the post pertains to the topic rather than find out its some poorly written troll post.
Again, thank you.

I didn't ban the services directly but every IP in their hosting range. Each proxy hosting service buys access to a subset of addresses from a backbone provider that are then allocated to them and distributed throughout their network. While hosts can, and sometimes do, buy access to different subsets for different countries it's not very common or cost effective. It's by no means endless nor dynamic, especially on the public internet.

THANK YOU!

There is a difference between freedom of speech and abuse of that freedom. You nailed it, thank you!

This isn't a government run forum. Freedom of speech doesn't have any bearing on the situation whatsoever.
