Do you think that was smart? Do you think Wal mMarwill want to buy out Kroger? Also do you think Kroger CEO will announce his retirement soon?

Two ex Wal Mart managers used to work in our store. Both of then said they left due to the low pay and lack of respect, and KILLER hours-more than what a Kroger manager would work!

I'm not aware of Kroger hiring any significant amount of Walmart managers.

If anything, I thought Kroger just fired several thousand managers.

I doubt Walmart will want to buy out Kroger.  The current rumor I'm hearing is that it's Alibaba instead.

I don't understand what's happening at the C level.  Rodney crashes stock prices, and is rewarded with a 20% raise and a 12 million dollar bonus?

I expect Rodney to retire in the next 5 years, immediately cashing out his stocks before the sale to Alibaba or whoever.

They cant get managers from any other source. Very few hourly employees enter the training program.

Well I'm sure the MGMT training program is just like the Department Leaders training program.  Congratulations your hired/promoted, here is your packet, do run your store/department.

They don't even have a department head training program anymore, i was in one of the last classes they offered down in Cincy. They were paying out too much in mileage from what i heard. I live about 90 miles from Cincy and I made bank just doing that.

Walmart laid off a bunch of their ASMs and Co-managers last year. A bunch of Walmart people cycled into my store right as I was quitting.
