New Kroger signage - Do you like it???

Not sure I understand.........is this new yellow signage with the "cartoonish" looking characters for a limited time (one period, one month, 6 months, a year???) or is it the new, relatively "permanent" theme / motif / logo / brand we are going to use???

I would like to hear what everybody thinks of this....... it reminds me of stuff on the walls inside a daycare or kindergarten.......or maybe a toy store?

Comments?

If they really think that customers are going to get "excited" for these stupid little characters...they really have lot their minds. this company is going down in flames.

Those "cartoon" characters remind me (in a very vague way) of the older type "Fisher Price Little People".  Some of you younger guys may not know what I am talking about........these toys (part of toy sets) were SUPER popular in the 1960s and 1970s. The very earliest ones were all wood. Later, part wood and part plastic, and finally all plastic.  The earlier ones were also involved in some accidents with small children choking to death after putting them in their mouths. In later years they were redesigned...... they got fatter and larger, so less prone to be a choking hazard.  They are now collectors items and some people collect them avidly.......  see this keyword search on google

Wait until the "Pokemon-Go" game is made with the characters in the store.

Probably a year.  Or, until someone has a new refresh idea.

Yes, Someone already mentioned Fisher Price characters to me.

They also mentioned Christmas cartoons from the 1970s with an elf.  Charlie Brown or Rudolf.  I can't remember which one

We had Little People in the 80s too.

The signage looks awful, almost like its a joke. How much did they pay a marketing company for this idea?

One of the characters reminds me of HERMEY, who wants to be a dentist......   He's an elf who doesn't like to make toys!

Those new characters look like they should be on a FisherPrice toy, on a kindnergarden or pre-schooler classroom wall. To tell you how not amazing these things are; we have a special needs bagger who gets excited jumping up and down happy over the silliest things; such as if he gets 17 instead of 16 hours. He saw these new characters and asked "why are the fisher price guys here?" He said they do not belong at kroger but rather on fisher price toys.

The Japanese are big on cartoon characters in their signage. I don't see what the big deal is.

All the signs in the world won't change the fact that Kroger treats their employees and customers like $***

No.

The 1960's claymation look really only makes sense around Christmastime.  Otherwise, it's a difficult combination of creepy and cheesy except dated.
