I think this program is a joke because Kroger wants us to push things to the the limit before they're put out on the shelves. I think this is a joke as Kroger use to be known for quality but due to short staffing (by the company) this has caused a huge drop in quality. Now they're trying to correct their own mistakes.
We found fresh is a real point of difference for us, Krogers vice president of marketing, Mandy Rassi, told CNBC in an interview.
Ah, so... no more expired yogurt on shelves (sometimes MONTHS old), meat with a sell by date of one day away in Meat Market, moldy strawberries in the produce bunkers or bread with a sell by date of two or three days away, right?
Or do you mean you've just come up with a FRESH new way to BS the public? Yeah, I think that might really be it.
In reality "friendly" has too many different meanings, plus not everyone wants to be engaged in the aisles by a friendly associate or be chatted up at checkout by chatty Kathy. "Fresh" has the same meaning to everyone, "FRESH".......Someone being "Friendly" is subjective to ones past social encounters, someone can be super friendly in one persons mind and lacking in another.
