This happened over a week ago. I had been visiting various sites to see if anyone had posted about this. I was looking for updates on the victims injuries and if they had survived. First, this was an incredibly gruesome event. From what I had read based on the initial news events was that the man who did the assault worked under the woman who was a supervisor for the department he worked for. Except for her injuries and his arrest, there really wasn't that much info. The earlier newspaper posts had more detail than this one.

Our local Atlanta news (I watched Fox 5 here) showed the perp, he was around 21. Judge rightfully denied bond. Perp locked the manager in the break room and started stabbing her. Slashed up her face pretty bad-she went to the hospital but she will survive but I get the impression she's got a long road to recovery. News did not say what prompted the attack.

Hey man, we're all getting stressed out. Some handle it worse than others.

It does not matter how stressed out you are. That was his day off according to WSB TV. He was not stressed he was just a Psycho Maniac. You see the video on WSB news he kinda had a smile. Dang they would kick him around a room and see how he likes it.

Actually stress matters and can affect a great deal. Have you ever had your friend next to you and the next minute blown up? Are you a trained psychologis? Im sure its no to both so you should probably shut the **** up on the matter cause you really dont know ****.
In dealing with disaster management and response directly from my county emergency management / FD / PD, i can tell you first hand we are told that yes, stress most definitely can have a very great impact on people. The first rule of any safety or security mindset is to
1) stop!
2) think it through calmly
3) assess the situation and determine a response based on actions or protocols observed or required.
We did active shooter drills with county sheriff and local PD where we got to see how fast stress can play into it. simulated shooter with paintball / sim rounds entered a building, got bumped into while trying to blend in, and an actor started telling the shooter "excuse me, sorry about that" but they had the second actor be purposely engaging after they got bumped into. Got in the guys face about how he needs to mind his own and watch himself, and all that jazz. Even when we got told to play the actor roles of the shooter, yes the stress factor is very much real and alive. We had officers as actors being rude to us to demonstrate the psychological aspect of it, even if i is a long term thing, it can still build upon itself from things at the workplace, making snide comments like a workplace about "oh so and so, oh they are late yet again, why do they even work here? We should just get rid of em." "man 20 minutes late, come on the meeting started already, let's go let's go!" Had coffee spilled on me and all i got was "well maybe you should honestly learn where you are walking, fatass. I don't got time for games and fools like you here."
Cops and deputies as actors playing "management" had a lot of fun and honestly can be a trigger as well "why are you late on this! It was due a week ago!" "Go pack up your office, and get out!" "but I don't-" "I said get out! You are fired, effective immediately."
"You just aren't a good fit for the company right now, and we need someone who can fulfill the role better." "but sir, i can do better-" "you had a chance, we took it, but it didn't work, please pack your things and leave. Security will show you out." These kinds of things and bad reviews, etc, can most certainly have an impact on it, but does it happen instantly, no. It takes time.
