Here we go again, in store walk mode... panicking to make everything look good for people that don't give a crap about us, but we continue to put on a show for them, so they think everything's fine, lets continue to run the store like this.

I'm working all 7 days this week but that is ok, my new "fresh coordinator" comes in and complains about not being 100% set to the planogram, or not having enough holiday sprinkles on my freaking donuts, or not having enough party trays that no one's buying on december 5th... it's ok, i just worked a 9 hour shift by myself, but do you care about that? Nah...

2 more days until I go on vacation and i'm wondering if i should spend it putting in job applications.

Look for another job. If you quit Kroger are you still going to visit this forum? You may get accused of trespassing if you do.

The local leaders do this to keep their own jobs. They lie to upper executives from corporate. (Who sadly would rather see the lie and participate in it anyways) However -  What you guys should do anyways is expose it - take a bunch of pictures before the scheme of the DM and local executives coming over to deceive  and then maybe send them up the chain anonymously.  "This what things actually look like" - You need to be stealthy though in how you take them so no one sees. Or, just report the schemes to corporate.. Or like your doing here, keep exposing them anonymously online. Maybe we can get some of these local DM's and Executives in the trouble they so rightly deserve - it's a fantasy I know lol..

One of my favorite incidents at Kroger had to be when the higher ups told us there was going to be a "thank you walk through." No one in our store including management knew what this meant and the message wasn't communicated well. So everyone was in the usual panic mode, running around, forcing us to clean clean clean and stock everything so that our store could look presentable for the big wigs. Only the big wigs never came. The only people who came were two women with a basket of candy to hand out to the employees. That was it. Instead of being something somewhat pleasant and nice for us, it ended up creating more work for us.

Sometimes you don't get enough information to give a really informed answer to a question, so thanks for that.

YES!

And sometimes you don't need every last detail.

Honestly, most Kroger employees should look for a better job.

Kroger is at least the fourth worst paying corporation in America, and is arguably the worst to work for.

If you have a computer/smartphone and can find your way here, you can (and should) do better.

Can't do much worse.
