Rude people

Have you ever heard that old saying, "expect the unexpected?" For example, you're on the clock and helping a customer. Everything is going just fine but you're waiting to see if they're going to be rude for any reason. But you probably don't expect that while you're off the clock. That happened to me once.

I was running some errands on my day off and I stopped by the store I work at. I get my stuff and head to the u-scan. Now I had two separate orders. I finish one and turn to my cart to start the other. The next thing I know this female comes rushing up, sets her stuff on the shelf of the u-scan I was using, starts using it, and just then notices me.

Now I don't know how someone can't see a big cart that hasn't moved an inch nor someone that's a good head talker. She finally looked up and her and the cashier both started talking at once. I just went to the other u-scan and took care of my other order. I was upset but I didn't want to say anything because it wasn't worth it during the craziness of the holiday season and dealing with rude people in general won't ever amount to a tinker's damn.

I would have said, there is another FREE Uscan over there that no one is at. And "help" her put her items back into the cart while calling for a void card to remove her items from my order. But knowing my luck and intolerance for rude behavior that would have upset the apple cart and would have had to tell her one of my many fake names when she demanded I give her one.

Be an a$$ to me and I'll be an even worse a$$ to you

Stop by the restroom and change out of your shirt and cap, and then shop.

That way if someone messes with you, they're messing with a fellow customer and won't know you work there too.

I was the one that had the cart. She was carrying her stuff and just set her stuff on the shelf.

It was my day off when it happened. But yeah, I make sure to also take my work shirt out to my car so I'm not stopped by customer after my shift.

I was at another Kroger store checking out at u-scan getting ready to pay and some woman comes along and puts her stuff down on the shelf.  There were five other u-scans open and I told her to go use one of thsoe.  She told me I was being rude and I told her she was being rude first and she needed to move her stuff.

Youre not entitled. you already made a purchase if youre gonna do that 2 separate transaction bs then move to another terminal. Other people got things to do ya know. Youre the last one to criticize any one. thief

Excuse me but I occasionally go through u-scan with more than one order too.  Telling someone using u-scan they can only scan one order would be like telling a customer in a regular checklane the same thing.  It's not one order per customer.  If a customer has 100 items and wants to ring and pay for each one separately, then that's perfectly okay.  You're not waiting on orders.  You're waiting on customers.

Fact. More people use u scan rather than talk to some robot cashier asking pointless Kroger questions. you go ahead and hog up the u scan with those small orders and the people waiting will just leave their stuff and walk out. Then youll get all sorts of looks and be escorted to a checker. Lotta self entitlement in here

If you read what I typed, I had said  Be an a$$ to me, and I'll be an even worse a$$ to you.  I don't go around starting crap and being an a$$ for no reason, however I REFUSE to take people being an a$$ to me for no reason, and I WILL NOT tolerate it either...I don't have to.

When I have 2 orders I do not give them time. What did you mean by turned your cart? I never even move my cart. I immediately start the next order I have had people try to break in line while I was waiting but I didn't say anything because at that time I still worked there.

There was no reason to jump in front. I was not there no I don't know what happened. I would never let that happen to me don't move an inch until I start walking out. But if it's an employee on the clock or off no one will backup the employee. Best thing to do is shop somewhere other than Kroger.

I was in front of the terminal. The cart is either behind me or to my left or my right. I would be turning in either direction to get my stuff out of it. The cart itself wouldn't be moved.

I had one customer go absolutely batsh*t on me because I wouldn't give my 25 pound turkey to her when i was shopping off the clock today. She was rude arrogant and nasty af. She demanded my name, so just to be an a$$, I gave her a fake name and she stormed off to report me.
