They're called Labor unions.  Management is not labor.  Therefore, they can not be part of the union.  Even without a union, there is still a distinction between management and labor.  Someone has to be in charge and make all the decisions.

Management should not be in the union. Conflict of interest. Even department heads and supervisors and leads should not be allowed to join the union in my opinion

That's bs, department heads need the union the most. They expect WAY too much out of us.

People who make schedules and can influence discipline should not be in the union. At the end of the day you are management and it gives management too much power. Kroger needs to make department heads salaried.

If department heads were salaried, nobody would become a department head.  Nobody wants to work 12-hour days with no overtime.  They have a hard enough time getting people to become department heads as it is.

Yep, Pickup supervisors are already working 12 hour days in some stores, so it's hard to fill that position in many stores.... you make department heads salary and it's all over for this company.

Oh quit exaggerating. The company I already trash. And if they can find people stupid enough to be salaried Dept heads I Clicklist, they can do the same for other departments.
