Did anyone elses pay get cut because of the new contract or is that just certain districts? I was topped out even got a bonus check the end of the year but was told just last week that I was being cut back by $1.70 to tier 2 pay because I am only part time. The way I see it is they took away 2 nights of food away from my kids and I am livid about it. The only way to get back to the original pay is to average 38 hours and that is not possible right now. Is there anything that can be done?
I was cinci/dayton, i quit on the last contract. wife got a new job and i reduced my hours so i could see my kid. They said since my hours were reduced and "rigid" i was moving down to like a part time classification 4. My pay origional should of dropped to topped out clerk, i have 10 years. So around 15-16. I would of been content with 14 and stayed. They dropped my pay to 10$ from 22$. I quit and went to mcdonalds for a few weeks, got paid 12$, then moved on to my new work, which i love.
Krogers was the worst part of my life and i hope every single brick and mortar of that POS company crumbles to the ground and takes all the leadership with them.

Sorry, not the same situation, but in case anyone calls you a liar about getting a "pay cut". It happens, it happened to me. I still come to this forum to remember how ****ing miserable i was back then whenever i feel sad about something benign lol.
Contact your union they can not legally strip you of pay or all of a sudden reduce your rate of pay. The only exception might be is if you transfer out of the front end and you're at full journeyman pay and decide to go to for example the deli and you'll top out at their journeyman pay instead. So for me that would be like a $5.00 pay cut.
As someone who worked in the Nashville division previously I do know the union contract has a higher top out for full timers than part timers. If this was your case they will bump you down to the part time top out pay. We had a guy stay full time in our store for this very reason.
