Also in the Atlanta Division and ours are playing again. They have put an emphasis back on it.
STOP WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING AND CONDITION, CONDITION, CONDITION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Duh.........that's what my job involves already.........do I need this stupid reminder??)
Ours never went away, but it's been a couple of months since anybody has really mentioned having to go out on the floor for it. I always thought it was dumb. I could see where it might benefit a store that isn't very busy. Or if the employees aren't doing anything. But everybody in our bakery, produce, meat departments etc are always working on something. We don't have time to stop packaging something or putting an order on to go and condition the floor, that we're already conditioning at the beginning of our shift and as we stock... daytime employees anyways. Our evening people stand around and talk and take ridiculously long breaks and lunches and wonder why they don't complete their tasks lol
OK, guys...This was weird...For every hour at the start of each hour today, those blasted chimes played THREE times and THREE of those utterly familiar top-of-the-hour songs in a row at the start of EACH hour...Really, In-Store Audio Network??? Really??? It's like the tape/feed was stuck or something...Playing those chimes over and over in succession does not make me a better worker...A more irritated one, possibly...
It's like...I heard them the first time...No need to put them on repeat!
And apparently, the fine folks at In-Store only know 10 songs...Van Halen's "Jump", Survivor's "Eye Of The Tiger", C+C Music Factory's "Gonna Make You Sweat", Technotronic's "Pump Up The Jam", Kenny Loggins' "I'm Alright", Kris Kross' "Jump", Huey Lewis & The News' "Power Of Love", The Ramones' "Blitzkrieg Bop", Pat Benatar's "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" and the glad-they-stopped-annoying-the-world-with-it "Welcome To The %#@%# Jungle" by Guns N' %$#@# Roses...The only ones you will hear everyday no matter what...
The only good thing is that some of those I've never listened to that carefully before and now I now every SINGLE word to every freakin' one of those songs...Well, maybe that's NOT such a good thing after all...
Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to have his head examined...Sorry, but truth is truth!
