I work in the bakery department and go in at 5 AM every morning. Last Friday the phone rings shortly after I get there and it's some elderly woman wanting me to call her back because she's not sure if her phone is receiving calls. She said she went to the doctor the day before and he said he would call her either that same day or the next day and she hadn't heard from him yet. I thought lady, you do realize your doctor isn't going to call you at five in the morning don't you? But I went ahead and did as she asked and of course her phone was working fine. Believe it or not, she did the same thing again this morning.
Sounds like she may have alzheimers or dementia. A friend or family member needs to have her checked out and they should check in on her from time to time

Similar call. I work overnight. An elderly lady has called me 5 or 6 times around 3am in the last 6 years asking," What is todays date?" A person at the service desk said she also calls them during the daytime occasionally. Thing is, we changed numbers when the store was reopened as a new store. She has called both numbers.

I do not know why I put working. I did that once to an old lady just picked a name out of the phone book. It just happened to be an old lady. She said hold on let me go check. She put the phone down came back and said yessss it's running. I said you better to catch it.
