Having trouble deicing frozen food doors after I spray hot water behind the fans how long does it have to dry out till I can turn the fans back on again so it wont freeze up the water I sprayed behind the fans
You're talking about under the bottom shelf, right, and not frost on the door itself? I had some ice build-up lately, too. What you want to do is pour that hot water over the drain first, then work your way away from the drain, one door at a time. Ice builds up because the hot water can't drain out before it gets cold, so that drain needs to be kept clear. You need steaming-hot water, though, so run that hot-side faucet for a bit before filling up your floral sprayer or buckets.
Our store has hose taps on the top of the freezers on each aisle that puts out hot water. Maybe you're lucky and have some too? I spray until the fins are clear and the next defrost cycle melts whatever small amount of water freezes before it can drain.
