Kroger is gearing up to make maximum first of the month money! I'm actually shocked that they're talking about reopening meat/seafood counters & salad/olive/hot bars so soon! Who would want to buy food that's pretty much out in the open air, at this time?
Yep. That's what I've been hearing/seeing at my store too. Like even though certain items like milk and eggs are still "iffy" on coming in management pulled the "limit" signs that were up. Heck they even uncapped ClickList.

The company can control the Dairy more then any other department, since 40% of the Dairy items are Store Brand items manufactured in company Dairies. I'm surprised they haven't stopped the production of Big-K and just started canning water in cans and 2 liters. I'm sure Store Brand items might be In-Stock more often then National Brand items. Also, word is produce has so much supply of the basics, they are turning some Warehouse orders away.

This reply in response to condition the company can control, not the unknowns our society and or this virus. The only action the company can do additionally to counter society/virus would be to mandate masks and gloves. With the masks supply being limited, only the Healthcare industry will be able to order/receive. While gloves might sound great, they would only spread the virus if someone comes in contact with an individual with the virus. There is a reason why Healthcare providers change gloves before/after every patient.
If someone has a compromised immune system, stay at home, go on sick leave. This virus is here and its not going away, you can only control what you have control over. Right now the company isn't focused on cost cutting, its providing food to our communities and trying to prevent what is controllable from occurring The stores and warehouses are not going to close, if they did, you would see a complete societal breakdown larger then what is already occurring. I'm sure these visits/walks are going to be more focused on store/food safety and getting the product the store has on the floor, not focusing on out of stocks.

wrong. someone already contracted it at a warehouse in memphis and now there is talk of a strike. lol at you thinking these stores will stay open when this really hits other areas like new york.

If your DM got sick, it wouldn't be so funny...I just don't see how anyone right now should be focusing on what we don't have amidst all that is happening...People are NOT going to stop shopping at the grocery stores and there is SO MUCH out of stock at our store, management has pretty much stopped caring about it...There is nothing we can do anyway about what's NOT coming in, if we're only allotted so much...Drugstores, dollar stores and pretty much everyone else is having the same trouble getting in essential items! I know for a fact that some of these places like the drugstores are getting their shipments of essentials once every two weeks and it's all gone THAT day! Plus, our own store manager is sick right now and has been for the last two weeks...We don't know what it is exactly, but I hope it's not what I think it is...We've had a substitute manager come in, but there will probably more of this kind of thing and not less in the weeks to come! Anybody who thinks life is going to return to normal anytime soon is delusional, has their head in the clouds and it would serve them well to get back down to reality! How I wish people would JUST...WAKE...UP!!!

My dealings with Eric have been very limited and maybe superficial, but he has shown some social skill. I have seen, though, a comically-absurd, long list of detailed demands he made on a store walk. It included, "Oil the black plastic trim so it will shine." That's getting to the core priorities, isn't it.
