They'll probably send you home anyway to quarantine...
I know people may take advantage of this, but then again, these are uncertain times and one does not know all the answers...What is a punishment anyway? Going to the store when you're sick and infecting everyone else with whatever you're sick with? It might be a punishment to the customers and other employees, but if you're REALLY sick, you'd be better off to call in, get your doctor's note and then STAY HOME!
All hands on deck are one thing, but if you have any of the symptoms of this thing, you need to monitor those and be safe, rather than sorry...Companies are now advised to be much more lenient with their employees in these difficult times...And we're not the only ones or the only company dealing with these issues...Remember, these are NOT ordinary days we are living in and the sooner everyone stops thinking they are, the better off we'll ALL be! WAKE UP, PEOPLE!
Don't abuse the call out privilege. If your'e sick call out. Right now there's a zero work while sick policy. If you're going on past day two I suggest going to an in-network walk-in clinic and get a dr's note for proof. It's more so for job security. A few hours is worth job security. We're all worn out and exhausted. I think a lot of people are psychosomaticly making them selves sick right now and don't even realize it. The mind is a powerful thing.

I was out for a time due to a health issue, but I got my doctor's note...Got it to my manager...They'll need it if you want to get paid for the time you were off or if you've taken a leave of absence...By the way, our own store manager has been out sick for at least a couple weeks now...No one has said how he's doing (or if they even know), but I'm wondering if it's what I think it is...We've had a substitute manager come in, but I get the feeling that there will be more of this and not less in the coming weeks...Sure, some employees might abuse the privilege, but when it's your own store manager taking time off at home (when he looked perfectly healthy a couple of weeks ago), I don't think it's psychosomatic...
