In pre-covid-19 times, pick up customers were mainly entitled Karens, now it's a cross section of people wanting to avoid coming inside the store, which I applaud! Stay home or use pick up or delivery! Btw, the pick fee has been waived for several weeks now to encourage people to use it.
I used to order groceries from a different company. I didn't do it all the time just when I had to work too many hours and didn't have time and didn't want to spend another minute in the store. I loved it. Just pick it up on my way home from work. Most pickers did a great job and it was incredibly convenient. However, I haven't done it since the pandemic happened. I know all the workers are overwhelmed at all the stores and I wouldn't feel right adding to their burden.
This is what happens when the Fee is eliminated, small orders get placed. They do you think most companies waive Fees after spending $XXX, it eliminate people from making these types of orders. In reality waive the fee is spending $50 bucks, you receive larger orders and still give people the option (but this eliminate some of the smaller orders).
Hey i say keep waiving the fee. I thought it would be a bad thing but the smaller orders is the only thing saving us right now. Some days we might have 850 tote labels to print. Yesterday was only. 800. That makes a huge difference in when we get the picking done.
Idk dude, I work three 16 hour shifts at a hospital in a row and on payday I usually do clicklist in the morning after work so I don't have to drag my kids out, of course this was pre-covid. Post covid I just go in and try to leave clicklist for the elderly.
