Kroger is already testing the pick-up only model at one location. It's unlikely companies like Walmart and Kroger will shut down all locations to the public and offer curbside/delivery service only, but there is a chance - however slim - things could get bad enough for this to happen.

So for those of you that DON'T work in ClickList, how would you feel if management told you that you HAVE to start working ClickList because there will be no customers coming in? Sure a select few will have to stay in their departments to stock exclusively for ClickList to pick from but assume that you're not among those few. Is this something you would welcome and be happy about because it would no longer mean having to deal with customers (if you're strictly a selector that is. Attendants & those answering phones for pick-up obviously would still have some customer interaction).

As a freezer stocker, if this doesn't affect my hours then I wouldn't mind.

And now you've got me dreaming of a day when there's no theft, with people not making the oddest obvious efforts to hide those empty packages behind things on the shelf rather than just quickly tossing them on a shelf/shipper and walking way. Of shelves not looking destroyed because it appears as if the customer had a terrible seizure as they went to grab something and pushed everything next to it a foot away. Of not finding meat department's product frozen solid on several of my shelves... hell, of my own product not ditched in another door because the customer was too lazy to put it back after deciding not to buy it. Maybe shopping will even slow down a bit so I can catch up on my inventory.

I work produce and it's hard enough to keep the shelves filled for everyone who needs product...I will say that our cooler and prep room is being used as Clicklist Warehouse #1 and normally, 10 orders would be something, but they had 93 orders the other day and they were STILL A DAY BEHIND on orders! They've had to recruit some of the deli girls, bakery girls, baggers, grocery guys and even the floral clerk as temporary Clicklist order-fillers, just to keep up with demand...I don't think Clicklist was ever as busy as it's been the last few weeks! I think more people are discovering the online option and want to save time, money and their health by not going inside the stores at this time...In a way, the store has been slower, but it's also been good for the employees, as not having those large crowds allows us to get more done and feel safer in some ways...

I wouldn't mind this at all no more drama between customers and us. Customers generally start it all and be @$$ holes over nothing.

Kroger is a ****ing idiot.
Here the ClickList doesn't even work half of the time.
And the "experts" all have their own personal opinions and most just want their air time.
I stopped watching the news weeks ago.

Mostly because of crap like this article.
Kroger can't even keep its crap together at the register.
Yea, let's stock our stores completely and yet have people not let inside.
Ignore the fact that it will increase spoilage, products will sit longer and we'll have fewer employees when we've already eliminated at least two registers for self-check out.
