So the Walmart store in Massachusetts which originally had 23 cases was only shut down because someone posted about it on social media. The health department got involved and made them shut down until all employees were tested and got test results back and store deep cleaned. They are now up to 61 cases with results still pending for 119 employees. Walmart paid for the testing. Employees who are negative will be able to return to work but must self monitor. I think this is because you can have the virus (very early) and not have enough viral load to show up on test. All employees and customers must wear masks.
It just makes me wonder how many Kroger employees have the virus. We know Kroger cares as much about us as Walmart does their employees. Walmart had what would be considered a hot spot and tried to keep it a secret. They would never have shut down and tested all their employees unless they were made to by the health department.

You have to take other things into consideration besides the fact they all worked at Walmart. The fact that they all worked at Walmart may be a coincidence. Frankly, I think they've blown this whole virus thing way out of proportion. The cost to the economy and to people's mental health has been more detrimental than what the virus has done. Sure some people have died but thousands of people die every day. Some people have gotten sick, but that's nothing new either. The fact is only a tiny fraction of one percent of the population has been affected by the virus. Yet the rest of us have to pay the price. I think it's funny how they built all these field hospitals and brought in those two ships and they all sit empty. Since only a tiny fraction of the people who get the virus have any notable symptoms, why not develop a test to see who is more likely to have an adverse reaction to the virus instead of one that just detects whether you have it or not?
Two positive cases at my store. Then about six additional people went out for health reasons not corona related. Then several coworkers to scared stupid and took loa for as long as they could. There loa is running out and they're having to come back to work like it or not. Now if so much as a coworker coughs customers are scared stupid and start verbally harassing employees.

What proof do you have to support that statement? Saying that somebody else said it is not proof of the statement's validity either. Anyway, the way I've heard it has to do with what's called herd immunity. If two out of every three people are immune to the virus, the virus will eventually die out. If one person can infect two people, the number of cases will grow. If one person can only infect one other person, the number of cases will stay the same for a while but will eventually start to drop as people become immune. There's two ways to stop the virus without a vaccine. The first is nobody goes anywhere for two weeks, not even to the grocery store or a hospital or outside among other people. It would only take one sick person to screw everything up. The other way to stop the virus is to do nothing and let the virus make its way through the population. The overwhelming majority of people, who have normal immune systems, wouldn't even have any symptoms. Even with a million confirmed cases, that's still less than 1/3 of one percent of the population. The other 99.6% percent are either immune or their symptoms are/were neglible. Hospitals could treat the most critical cases. Those that show symptoms, but aren't critical could just tough it out.

Yeah, well...The second wave has not happened yet...The more states that re-open their economies could see a rise in deaths...It's already happening in some places, which is why Mississippi's governor reversed course on reopening his state...You talk about field hospitals being empty and those two ships...Even if they're not filled now, I feel much happier knowing that they're there...Yeah, and we don't need all those ventilators...We don't need to stockpile masks and gloves and sanitizer...Why worry about a vaccine as this thing isn't so bad??? What proof do you or anyone else have that there's going to be a "second wave"? All you can say is it could happen. You can't say it will happen.
