There was no one to take my temp this morning. I guess they certified more people, but i didn't know that. Anyways, the manager temps me after I've been at work for a few hours. I read 89.9...I told him that's impossible, if i was that id be close to having hypothermia. He just shrugged and said its ok....( this is not the only time I've had a super low temp nor am i the only one its happened to). What is the effing point of doing this if it isn't going to be done right. What happenes when someone has a 96 degree temp, does that mean they have an actual fever of 104?

Hypothermia occurs when body temp falls below 95. A fever is when you have a body temp 100 or higher. A lot of people have a normal temp of 98-99. It's not uncommon for a grocery worker operating in an ice box to read hypothermia temps.
Our store is bad at taking temps. Half the time a manager is not available to take one or they're too busy to do it. Or they have the door locked. I haven't had mine taken since they rolled out this program. Our store was heavy at it at first then after a week they just started forgetting.

Yeah, and THIS is why this thing is going to be around for a much longer time than anticipated because of idiots eho don't take it seriously...You think the virus is gonna care who it hits or take a holiday because the weather's getting nicer??? Think again!!! What if your boss catches this thing??? Our store manager got it and was quarantined for 2-3 weeks...If he can get it, ANYONE can get it!!! There is NO vaccine yet, so everyone needs to take the proper precautions...And you know what, since I can't depend on the managers to take a proper temp, I'm bringing my OWN brand new thermometer to work just to be safe and checking it myself...Something to think about, guys, and if you do get sick, you'll know...

There are quite a large number of people who have the virus and will show now symptoms and will get over it not even getting sick. Yet they can still pass it to people like you. Those people did not catch it again. They weren't fully over the infection and had a relapse but it was still from the original infection. That can happen with a lot of infections. In order to say someone has caught the virus again, the virus would have to come from a different source.
