PLEASE ANSWER ASAP Kroger employee cashier code??? How to login into register??

Hi today is my first day working as an employee without my trainer and I'm terribly nervous. I go in, in 2 hours and I do not have my login code for my register yet and I'm still confused about the login and what to do when the terminal becomes secured. Also what to do with my till after my shift is over. I'm so nervous and I feel so underprepared even though I asked tons of questions. Please answer ASAP about who I go to get my login code, what to do with my go back and till at the end of my shift,  how to call the front end of I need help, how to get a supervisor to assist me at my register and how to get a courtesy clerk over to my check-out lane in case I really need one (like for go backs that require immediate attention)

You will get your cashier # when you come into work. They have to create your account in the ACE system. If your store has policies about what to do with your till, they will let you know. More than likely, you will not need to worry about it. Most Kroger stores don't close down tills after each cashier. As a matter of fact, you might be using multiple tills during your shift. (It depends on what your division/district/store policies are.) Also, when your register secures, you will enter your password and if your store still uses a keyboard, tap the Sign on/Sign off button. If it's a touchscreen store, hit enter. You will also be given your password when you get your cashier number. Make sure someone shows you how to change it to something you will remember. For the rest of your questions, they'll answer that when you start.

As a trained cashier you should know this. Don't know the cashier book is in the back of the check stand checker book in the checker manual. It's literally in the first couple of pages. This is basic stuff you should know! This is the first step you are taught when learning how to operate a till. You are not an employee. If you don't have one you'll have to ask management to generate one for you.

Caution: Any employees who does give their numbers out to this person needs to immediately reset their pass word. Don't be stupid. It's your job on the line. Any mistake someone does on your numbers is a knock at you. This is why you don't share checker numbers. It's like someone asking for your ssn. - fellow employee.

You seem to think some Divisions have training......the Cincinnati/Dayton Training center was disbanded. In reality, the training was performed by people that never worked in a store, just HR people.

Would one person's checker number even work in another store? HR logins don't. You can't even clock in at another store without an override.

Hi :) I'm the new cashier who made this. You didn't have to be a jerk about everything. When I was training I used my trainers number because our store doesn't do proper training. I hope you know now I'm very good at my job and I hope you have fun with your life. They didn't give me my login until 5 minutes before I started working by myself.

Yup, sounds about right.  I'm guessing you didn't even meet the Front End Leader, which is another reason why clerk fail at times.  Some Department Leaders never meet their associates, and don't set the expectations from day one.  Its easier to know what is expected from the beginning then learn or change what you have been doing forever.

I'm assuming they would. Once you bypass the clock in with the override, you are in the system for that specified time. Kroger doesnt have spare checker numbers. Once you are logged in, then you can sign into a register I'm guessing.

Cashier numbers are store specific, so they would not work at other locations.  If you work at another store and scheduled correctly you don't need an override.  Clocking in at another store follows the same rules as clocking in at your store, if your not in scheduled in eScheduler/Kronos, you can't clock.

Coming back after months of working as a Kroger cashier. (of course I'm the one who made this thread). I'm really good at my job, they've had me work every register and SCO. I've closed and opened multiple times. Even the cashiers who've worked at the store longer than me will come up to ask questions. If someone on these threads ask you for advice PLEASE just give it to them instead of being rude about it, I was still a teenager who had never worked a "real job" when I had made that post, so I was completely lost. Thank you to those who actually helped me.
