Indy 500 pit-like eating/drinking

Where I work, you can setup a "food ledge" and put your food and drink on it.  As the urge to eat and drink during the day, you can walk by your setup all day long and eat part of your sandwich and take a quick gulp of your drink and then get back to work.  Sort of like a pit-stop in an auto race.

Are the rest of you doing this too?  It makes lunch breaks obsolete.

Don't let the Health Department catch you doing that.

I've tried it but I didn't like it.

Everything warms up or cools down, I found it unsatisfying to eat one bite at a time while walking past, and there's too much risk from pissy managers throwing it out or coworkers messing with it.

Don't want to risk eating something contaminated.  Date-reape drug or something to give cops a reason to conveniently arrest you.  You could also die.  Coworkers no, management yes.

Weird? Customers haven't chewed your store out for failing to follow cdc social distancing rules?

7% of our customers give a f-u-ck to social distancing rules while placing the rest of us at risk.
