We had a holiday walkthrough today for the 4th of July holiday.  Nevermind the fact that the holiday isn't for another week.  We went to all this trouble to bake extra stuff to fill a display table.  A couple people came in on on their off day and made red, white, and blue cupcakes and iced sugar cookies.  Everything was properly stickered with sale stickers and Baked Fresh stickers.   You would think they would say everything looks good or at least fine, but noooooo.  They only thing they had to say was we needed more wheat buns.  By the way, we did have more wheat buns in backup.

Did you have chocolate chip cookies with red white and blue icing? And do  not expect them to ever find everything 100% it never will be ever ever. They will find something wrong even if they have to make something wrong their self and blame you they will find something.

Don't you know good management means never praising people for good work but instead nitpicking every little detail? That's what really motivates people to want to work harder, knowing that no matter what it'll never be good enough.

Holiday Walkthroughs are SUCH a  joke. They always take place about a week to two weeks ahead of the actual day of the holiday. Which means that it is COMPLETELY USELESS AND POINTLESS.   IF any Divison Presidents of Kroger knows anything, they surely MUST know that after a walk, just one or two days of being slammed hard with gobs of customers, the store can be completely trashed and look horrible, with gobs of lows and holes, in less than 24 to 48 hours after they have walked through.  So what was the point???   So STUPID!!
