Local Kroger telling employees no more logos on masks

Big note of it next to the log in machine. Even though I haven't worked there in years, I always go slow enough to read the latest "memos" from management that get taped there.

But if the only mask the employee possesses has a logo, then guess what? Logo wearing it is. Why shell out more money if you already have the masks on hand?

I wear the King Soopers-branded mask inside-out on the days that we're out of the plain white/blue ones. No free advertising, my face is not a billboard.

How many mask actually have logos on them anyways? If anything there might be small brand logo, which no one would remotely know. I'm guessing my "logo" they mean, no political messaging or slogans. I have a feeling, political stickers will be out this year, and masks will be everywhere.

Lots of people are sad enough to turn masks into a fashion item.

I've seen workers with sports teams on them, even one that was like the flag on the 4th of July. I might say something if it was BLM or a confederate flag.

On reddit, there was a leaked generic form for the purpose of disallowing any particular mask.

It's not for the purpose of denying branded masks as much as it is as for denying those of a controversial political nature.

Some stores may care more than others.

I don't think mine does unless until they start getting complaints.

Complaints don't hold squat in my store if we have logos on our masks. If they are not OVER THE TOP offensive, management doesnt care. If a customer doesnt like the color of a mask then somewhat? Go elsewhere. If a mask has the picture of Trump on it and they dislike it, so what? Go elsewhere.
I dont like Trump, but I'm not going to be a "Karen" and complain about a mask if I see his picture on it. I dont get offended easily. If anything if someone tries to offend me, I'll just laugh in their face and watch them get madder.
