getting a new pharmacy manager
Permalink

we just got a new pharmacy manager just over six months ago and she turned out to be great, took control of scheduling and workflow, accommodated requests when possible, was fair imo, even-tempered and good with handling high-volume business. now she's transferring back to her home city and we're getting a new manager. i don't know much about him yet, except that he's my age and seems to be a republican. he also seems easygoing but it's just too soon to tell. lead technician is taking over the schedule and i'm not looking forward to that. even tho i have had seniority over other employees she would give newer people better hours sometimes. i just came here to vent a little bit. seemed like things were much better in the department now they're changing.

i mainly just dont want to work in the morning on saturday but am available for afternoon, been managing to split that shift with others but who knows what'll happen. current manager said she informed lead tech and it should be ok. i'm available 1 to 8 m - f and every sunday and later half of saturday. i have to work fulltime to keep insurance

i got mad the other night btw because manager said we should put smaller containers of fluid into a bigger bottle and it was busy but then i noticed she was actually helping me, doing it for me. other pharmacists will just be like 'do this,' etc. just an example of how much better i like this manager.
