Why is it SO hard to remove problem managers from a store? Is Kroger scared of lawsuits?

Do you think if I had 10 legit complaints filed against me that I would still be at Kroger? Nope. So why is Kroger so reluctant to get problem managers out of the stores? We have had an HR rep in our store for over two years that had had a slew of complaints filed against her. The admin in our store says "Kroger just doesn't care." I can believe it. The sad thing is that Kroger has known for awhile she's a problem but doesn't want to do anything about it. I am VERY surprised our store hasn't been sued over this non-action.

Good question. I do not understand Kroger and who/how they remove management. I don't understand how/why good decent hardworking managers have been let go and how/why lazy or horrible managers are kept. A lot seems to depend on your area of the country, whose in charge, and management above store making decisions. As far as I know with that last round of layoffs, Kroger doesn't have HR managers anymore in the stores, so I'm not for sure what type of manager you are referring to.

She handles HR in our store-I thought with the HR managers being let go, she would have been one of them

Has anyone on here ever heard of a manager being fired and if so what was it for?
