Are there some stores that actually take the employee survey seriously?

I filled it out today-my Admin said "it is just window dressing, they do it because they say they do it." I have been at my store for 7 years and we have NEVER had the results communicated to us.

I've seen the results a few times. They matter to the store managers because they can get in trouble but I've never seen anything change because of the surveys

Yes, the Store Manage is basically graded on the culture of the store (survey responses). But because there is always a larger organization change or societal event (COVID, Recession, etc.) the results are normally downplayed and nothing really changes. Associates Surveys always normally tell higher ups they want more communication, more money and less work. In some stores your going to get a good picture of the culture and events happening, in others you have groups that are not satisfied with anything. In reality, the best measure of a store is Associate turnover. As long as wages are semi-competitive Associates normally not jump ship if they feel wanted and part of the team. After that your high turnover would be based on your Store Manage not managing the store and culture or your HR person not hiring the best fix candidates. Too many Store HR people hire people to just say they hired someone, they don't work to find the best fit. You need an associated to work 4PM-12AM, HR hires someone that can work 3PM-7PM and someone that can work 12PM-5PM........so your already shooting yourself in the foot with the survey when Associate don't get hours or other Associates are doing double the work.
