I just go on Medicare and am looking at Medishare for the other 20 percent that isn't covered by Medicare. I know release of the info would viola te HIPPA laws but I harve always felt if someone really wanted the info they could find a way to do it. I was told it is required by Kroger's health insurance company.
it might not be required, it's just required if you want to pay less. they are charging something like $15 extra per week in ATL if you don't disclose your biometrics

If you have ever done a Biometrics screening, it doesn't really include anything too personal. From my understanding, its more to get you to have an understanding of your medical status and get some type of medical advice is something is eye opening.
Whatever it takes to get the insurance, I'm all in for...Besides, I actually like knowing what all of my cholesterol and sugar numbers are...And the healthier I am, the better job I am going to do and the better life I am going to live. believe me, there's a difference between having insurance to cover a big medical bill and not having it...And I don't want to pay more than I have to for treatments and doctor visits!
But this still doesn't answer my question-if the biometrics info is for the EMPLOYEE, then why would the UNION need the info and what would they do with it? Doesn't this come under a HIPPA violation (3rd party having health info.)
