There should be a list beside each phone. I know Customer Service is 2000 because every time someone calls the store they're always too impatient to listen to the entire phone menu and they just press 1 for Bakery. If that isn't bad enough, they frequently lie and say they were given the wrong department. I've gotten to the point where I tell people they pressed the wrong button. There was this one woman who called twice asking for the pharmacy. The first time I transfered the call without saying anything. The second time I told her she was pressing the wrong button. The third time I didn't bother to answer. If you wait long enough, the call gets re-routed to Customer Service. If they don't pick up, it goes to management.
It really depends on your store. Kroger doesn't use a standardized phone system or have a standardized set of phone extensions at each store/division. For example, someone already stated that at their store the extension for customer service is 2000. In my store, it's 1228 and 1229.
Ahh I see. Im trying to understand the system better our kroger doesn't have. The phones marked and it's very confusing
I thought (at least some) Kroger stores have a standardized phone extension number list......... maybe I am wrong.
Try these numbers at your store: 2211 for Deli.
2221 is Produce
2201 is Bakery
2284 is DSD desk / backroom.
Let us know if your store is different.
You can actually call the store tel number (at my store anyway) and when the recording comes on, go ahead and press the 4-digit extension number.......... it should take you directly to that phone.
I believe it really depends on which phone system you have. Most of the stores in my area either have the Nortel system or newer Cicso system. With Nortel Customer Service was 2091,2092, with Cisco its 2000, 2001. I know on a pervious phone system the extensions were the actual 10 digit phone number, just shortened to the last 4 digits. The main store number was 555-555-5000, customer service was then 5000, 5001. You could dial the phones directly from the outside by calling 555-555-5001, etc., calling 555-555-5000 put you into the prompts.
When i was in bakery people did that all the time. Phone rings and they want customer service or pharmacy, they say oh it didn't give me that option...obviously that was a lie, they just hit 1 for bakery.
I still get it sometimes, people call the clicklist number and say oh i meant to call the pharmacy...
