How are the stores going to stay full, if the warehouses don't have the product? I mean the cereal, baking, and paper aisles haven't been full in 6 months. 3rd shift stockers don't have time to fill the shelves because they have to stop and codition all the aisles. Day shift doesnt condition at all, they just go around and put things in the wrong place. Then blame 3rd shift. So then 3rd shift has to fix their mess while stocking shelves and conditioning.
Good luck with the new : Full, Fresh, and Friendly
excuse me but it's dayshifts job to complain that night crew doesn't do enough.
lol. Isn't that the truth.
Many years ago, the night manager yelled at me and another guy for not doing enough work. The store manager spoke to me about it. I was able to show the store manager where every minute went that shift including case count. I got an apology from the night manager the next morning. I can crunch numbers and show time studies and charts regarding workflow. Most employees can't or won't.
My conclusion:
Most employees do not know how to correctly fill out the TSG, DDP or newest version of DDP(Survey). Managers don't even know which trucks we run sometimes. Or, that 8 hour employees take 30 minutes worth of breaks each shift. So, the managers cook the books to meet metrics from corporate. Night crew has time to do so much but managers are inputting results of doing more because they don't want to get yelled at. So, Corporate managers see that everyone is doing a fantastic job, "Let's raise the standards". I think this is why it is a constant rat race on nights to meet the standards. With covid, this year has been rough but is improving.
