These incidents happened on two different days during the week. The first one occurred during the busiest day. You know the type. All lanes open and lines backed up. Well, this Karen, while waiting in line, called the store and complained that we don't have enough check lanes. Um, okay. We didn't design the place nor did we change stuff around. Corporate did. The Karen can either call them or go somewhere else and find the same problem during the holidays.
The second moment occurred on Christmas Eve. I was bagging when I turned around and saw both the manager and a co-manager practically shoving someone out the door. My guess is that this person was trying to stir up trouble because I overheard one threatening to call the cops. I also saw the person get into the co-manager's face with their own threats. Next thing I know there's a cop coming in to get statements from all who were involved. I wasn't but I went back to work feeling a little ticked off and hoping that the jerk did spend Christmas in the slammer. Maybe they'll learn their lesson.
I remember one Str Manager seeing the lines and telling us to open more lanes.......they failed to look at the actual registers (ALL OPEN). Corporate will tell you stores are not designed for the slowest or busiest days of the year.
