I signed up for the Corona virus shot late last month.
Then earlier this week there was a document posted at the time-clock with the website link posted where you could make an appointment, but that link would not work.
So, the pharmacy at the location I work at is currently giving the corona virus shot to the employees, but only in groups of ten employees.
So I went to the pharmacy after I clocked at at 2 p.m., but I was told that a manager had to walk me to the pharmacy to get the corona virus shot.
So I went to find a manager.
Turns out a group of 10 employees already received the corona virus shot today, and so I was told that I have to return to work on Monday to get the shot.
It would probably be easier to go through your doctor as well as Kroger if you're trying to get a vaccination. Just tell them that you're a retail employee and really need to get the shot. Just remember that this is a multi step process and you need more than one dose for the full effect of the vaccine.
Whichever will get you a dose first.

Why does our employer do this?
My only guess is, is it make sure there are enough vaccines for everyone. Maybe they have a limited supply given them per week and have to make sure it lasts. Also, I hope they have a sign off sheet to make absolute certain each employee signed up gets one vaccine and one vaccine only
I received a phone call while I was at work yesterday from one of the store managers asking me if I wanted to get the Corona virus shot, and I said yes.
That store manager told me to go to the pharmacy after I clock out.
When I got to the pharmacy yesterday after clocking out, there were less than 10 employees waiting.
