I have asked management for a form to opt out of the union they can not seem to come up with this form, the union will not return my several calls. Anyone know where I can get this form?
You should be able to get it from your Union Rep. If they continue to refuse to get you the paperwork and you're in a right-to-work state I would contact a lawyer.

Not possible. Union second clause states if you fail to apply to the union after day 91 you're fired. Go work a non union job. Costco rings a bell. Trader Joe's. Small ma and pop corporations. Don't like it then please don't be misserable at work and just find some thing else. I work with at least two people who hate the union but won't go look for anything else. Indeed.com. Start there.
I've never heard of anyone successfully leaving the union.
It's easier to get a better job than to leave the union.
Typically it requires putting in paperwork before the renewal period which happens around the end of the year with a written statement saying you want to leave. You need to keep copies of the paperwork and proof that you sent them. It's a lot of hassle by design.

I was under the impression that most union dues went towards cocaine and hookers for the president of the local union, with the remainder going to their immediate relatives in officer positions.

Please correct me if I've made a mistake.
Im sure it goes to something weird like that. It sure as hell doesnt help employees. union are just crooks
If your store is union no you can not opt out. If you do you'll be terminated once the union audits. Union are not crooks but rather offer a binding contract of rights. I've worked enough unstable jobs to find this rather helpful.

This is not true if you are in a right to work state like Indiana. If you are in one of those you can opt out even in a union store
The first rule in the union hand book is the right for the company to recognize the union.
The second chapter explains if employees fail to pay into the union you are terminated. If you don't want a union job quit. Walmart isn't union. Target isn't union. Costco isn't union. Same bull sh-it just depends what basket you want all your eggs in. Kroger offers a union and having done enough non union jobs it's nice to have the protection of one. I've done enough office jobs where they can fire you for just cause I'm done with it. You go on vacation and find that you have no job upon return. Yea I'm done with that b.s.
I hope that you are delighted knowing that a portion of your earnings helps to pay the officials of the corrupt union, and to help elect politicians of a single party, which has a track record of massive currency devaluing spending and raising taxes!
The first rule in the union handbook is that only union members get a union handbook. Much like the store handbook, it's in nobody's interest for the employees to know their rights.
The second rule is that any union dues are required to be deposited as gold bullion coins in a giant vault, such that the union president (and officers in the evenings) can swim through them much like Scrooge McDuck.
The third rule is that any remaining officer position is required to be given to a direct blood or marriage relative of the president. No exceptions.
The fourth rule is that the union is required to hold banker's hours, and ideally, federal holiday hours. If your local union isn't too busy swimming in the vault to take your calls, they aren't doing their job.
If they don't get their laps in, they don't get paid. No more, no less. How can they pick up a phone unless they are getting their laps in?
Both parties are criminal, but each if horrifyingly different ways.
Only an idiot would set up a payroll deduction to feed corrupt union officials and an incompetent, disfunctional Democratic party. Inflation is already eating your paycheck, and it will get worse under the current monetary policy!
This job would be hell without a union. Suck it up or find a new job. Please don't become a miserable brat that could care less and gets worse and worse to work with and becomes so lazy they refuse to do their job. Find a non union job or suck it up.
Hey Union Jack, I guess that you must be really pleased with the job that you union dues boy Biden is doing right now. How does the buying power of your hard-earned union dollar look now as compared to a year ago, and what will it look like a year from now? Do you think that the corrupt union will see to it that your wages keep up with inflation? Your dues helped to create the current mess by helping to elect incompetent socialists, so wallow in the skyrocketing inflation, open border to the south and citizens who sit at home waiting for the next handout.
Too bad that's all wrong. At least in my state... We have to "opt in." You're not automatically in the union. I am not, and don't pay dues, and am still employed for years, so no idea wtf you're on about.
They come in every now and then and try to talk us into it. Not paying near-$40 a month for basically nothing. They can't even get me more pay, and their last contract got me a small raise, but then canceled my upcoming raise, so they got me 50 cents.
Ask them to give you a breakdown of exactly what your fourty dollars a month is used for, and I guarantee that you will not get a straight answer. For even more fun, ask what percentage is donated to union officials and left-wing politicians.
