denied time off request at last minute?

Does anyone know when the store has to approve or deny a time off (ie vacation, personal, off no pay)request. I have been on vacation wed-sat. and also requested off for sun and monday, but was not informed of this being denied until Late Friday night.

I am out of town on vacation you dip****s, you need to deny or approve the whole of the request before I start my vacation not in the middle of it these two days requests said pending up until friday night, and now are denied and I am scheduled to work. How the hell is that going to be possible I'm 700 miles away.

Is it online? Then act like "you didn't see" your online schedule. If they make a fuss, say you "tried to log in" but the site wasnt working. If they still make a fuss, say you tried to call in but no one answered the phone.

Should have made sure it was cleared before you left. Pending means exactly what it means. Next time give ample notice. The denied days is just and will stand. Your write up will be waiting for you.

It depends on how desperate your store is for help. If they are extremely shorthanded you will probably not have a huge issue because they cant afford to fire anybody unless its serious.

absolutely not a schedule can not be posted within 48 hrs of a coming shift. Just because the schedule maker in a store can't follow the rules of the contract, Means someone would be required to comply with said illegitimate schedule.

That's ok, I have a pair of scissors that I need to see if they are as sharp as it says in the package. What better way to test it out than on a write up? That write up will end up in two pieces or more.

They cannot do anything they are the ones who posted the schedule late and did not approve it. Stay on your vacation and have fun you deserve it.

Wrong if you think that cant do anything. If it was approve it would have been green on the eschedule. It was not approved and there force will count as no call no shows.

According to the scheduling language yes they can do this. So long as 48 hrs advance notice given. If you had plans or plane tickets just put your foot down and go.

OP has already stated they are 700+ miles away. It would be stupid and a waste of time for them to come back. They are screwed.
All op hasntondonis say they "never saw" the change because they "couldnt" access the site due to it being "down" and that they "tried" to call in but nobody answered. Kroger's SOL on this one.
