In our area, Dayton-Cincinnati,  the delis are running with just one clerk + one chicken person on Sundays.  On the busiest day of the week.  What gives?  All we are doing is getting complaints about people having to wait 20-30 minutes at the deli counter.    And the whole time the customers are waiting, they are staring at you like you are some kind of circus freak.  Not to mention click list yelling at us because we can't get to their stuff.     Also, Kroger stock is going up.

Makes you wonder what the holiday season is going to look  like.

Makes me wonder if Corporate is even aware of this MAJOR ONGOING DISASTER at most Kroger delis.  They really should just shut down every Kroger deli in the entire country.  For the time being (if not forever).  At least until the labor crisis is over (if it will EVER be over?) .  AND  if Kroger Corporate was willing to add more hours and improve the working conditions of delis across the country , things would gradually (slowly, but gradually) improve over time. But I highly doubt there is anyone  in Corporate who care enough to try to improve things, or ask Rodney McMullen to take steps to remedy this ongoing disaster.

There is a severe DISCONNECT between Corporate and actual working conditions on the ground in Deli.

Kind of reminds me of the Huge delusional disconnect between what Biden said in his news conference today (he is saying he is not aware of any intelligence that shows Americans are not being able to get past Taliban armed troops, to the Kabul airport in Afghanistan if they wish), and the violent confrontational disaster that is actually happening there right now, in REAL TIME!!

In reality, they really needs to transition the Deli away from a Service Counter setup. Have someone taking the orders and then tell the customer to come back in 20 mins, there isn't any reason why a customer should stand there and death stare someone. In reality, the APP for ordering Deli items should be pushed more, why not have the Kroger APP sent customers that get deli items all the time an alert when the enter the store? Order on the APP, skip the line.

All stores are severely understaffed. I decided to cut back to enough hrs for health insurance. Financially I can restructure my funds to be income producing rather than growth. Just means they won't have as much growth in the long run.

Staffing at my store is so minimal that people are getting cranky over it.

Apparently they've had to close the deli in several stores in my city because they can't find anyone to work in them.

Staffing isn't going to get any better, I'm actually surprised they haven't completely rethought the deli. Also, with everything else going on, it Chicken sales worth the manhours? Hell its not like in the 90's when literally everyone purchases a rotisserie chicken. I'm really surprised they haven't given set schedules to see if that might gain employee stability.

Slashed hours. Every department only has one staff member. The front end sucks when a customer says only self check. Yea like I don't fuc-ken know. Let me call you someone. Oh, wait there's no one. We only have a second cashier during prime time hours even then the shift is only a short 4 hrs.
