Anyone else have an insane amount of call outs at their store? We're so understaffed it's ridiculous. One person is already doing the job duties of 2-3 people. When someone calls out nothing gets done because we can't even do the basics of our job duties.
One of my coworkers keeps calling out and says I'm going to call out for 3-5 days all at once. I thought we had to do one day at a time. Then by day 3 we had to provide dr note or get punished for it. I didn't realize this was a thing. She calls out 2-4 times a month but still is employed 20 years later. She knows how to kiss @$$ to the customers but is really rude to the employees. No one seems to question her but I have noticed she does some questionable things. Some how they get over looked. Due to her longevity the union just over looks everything.
We have several staff call out routinely like 2-3 days a week and they're still employed years later.

Then you would hate working with me at my store. I NEVER pick up the slack for excessive call outs. EVER. You would have a SH*T TON of work waiting for you. I have enough to do without covering for everyone else.

Not at all. Youre a rather smart one to not work harder and just do your normal routine. But I guarantee you no matter what you or any one leaves I dont make any effort to get it done. It would just go to the next person coming in lol.
