Hero pay was terminated after a few months. We had it for 4 months in 2019 and that was it. Kroger choses to close stores in these areas rather than give their employees increased wages. You'd be better off getting a job in an area/county that has this active. After kroger removed the livable wages pay we lost a sh-it load of employees.

You probably mean 2020. The pandemic didn't become a "thing" until March of 2020. I think we got hero pay sometime in the March ~ June time period, more or less, depending on division.
Things are worse then ever. we need hero pay! kroger needs to give it bonuses up and give it to us. Greedy managers
Is getting hero pay going to cause you to work harder or even like your job more? Is this pay going to cause any less of a risk? Thinks might be worse, but that doesn't have anything to do with hero pay. Most of the current issues are issues all high traffic retailers are experiencing. If you don't like the job, I'm sure there are other options that might better fit your needs. People forget, Amazon's expansion, DoorDash, Instacart and every other APP are taking the workforce that once worked or would have worked the retail position 5 years ago.

Kroger has made it's stand and proved it would rather close stores in these areas than pay it's people a couple dollars more an hr. You're about a year too late for it. Kroger has gotten bad. The company isn't going to close any store that is profitable.....PERIOD!!! They are always "Operational" closures every year, COVID might have only caused these stores to close sooner. Years ago they used to send out a report with profit with every store in the Division, there was always 3-4 store in my area that never made a profit and didn't even breakeven, but because of political pressures, they were never allowed to close. They have since closed, but only after years of negative profit, even with $$$ spend on improvements...etc
Everyone needs to stop looking at everything personal, if the pay is too low, there are other places hiring!!

Not me. I'll quit first. I believe Biden said that "only" 1 out of every 160,000 people who receive the vaccine end up in the hospital. And he said it like it was no big deal. If that had been 1 out every 160, 000 people who tested positive for Covid, it would be the worst thing in the world. To put it in perspective, the polio vaccine has a serious side effect rate of .17 out of every 1 millionpeople. Other common vaccines are comparable. That means the Covid vaccine is more than 36 times more likely to cause serious side effects. I read somewhere that the Covid vaccines have caused more problems than all other vaccines combined. It isn't about saving lives. It's all about control. American citizens are being treated worse than all the thousands of illegal immigrants that are crossing the southern border every day. Those people aren't being forced to get a Covid shot.
Natural immunity is being completely ignored and they're lumping everyone into the same group. Not everyone is the same. Some people cannot be infected. Some people can be infected but don't show symptoms. Some people show mild symptoms. Some people have severe symptoms. Some people are hospitalized. Some people die.
I'm going to hold out as long as possible until they tell me I have to get the vaccine. Then, I'll quit. Hopefully, Biden will be stopped before it comes to that.
The "Hero Pay" is never gonna happen. I don't know why anyone is wasting their time asking about this over and over. Kroger will NEVER give "Hazard pay" again. You know it and I know it.
On another note, In his speech yesterday, Corrupt and tyrannical "KING JOE" BIDEN completely ignored (or did he just "forget" to say anything about?) the HUGE flood of illegal undocumented immigrants that have been pouring across the southern border in the last 8 months since he "laid out the implicit welcome mat" after taking office. It has been estimated that AT LEAST half a million illegals have gotten into the US in that time. Many of them are NOT being tested for Covid and they are helping spread the virus across the country. Of course, the ones not being caught are not being tested (obviously).
If he was really serious about reducing the spread of Covid (and not just being a control freak) he would immediately demand that ALL states test all illegals (that they are able to catch), and test them for Covid and require them to be deported immediately.
He also said NOTHING about the tens of millions of people here in the US that have already had Covid, have survived, and have plenty of healthy antibodies in their system that helps guard against a new infection. Are they all supposed to get a vaccine also even though antibodies help more than a manmade vaccine??
(BTW I am not anti-vaccine. I got my vaccine 5 months ago and I think everyone should get one). BUT Biden has no authority to FORCE Americans to submit to a jab against their will. It should be up to the individual. This is definitely completely Unconstitutional. This will only cause more monkey wrenches to be thrown into the supply chain and economic disruption mess that we are already in..... there are lots of middle class American workers in many vital industries who are strongly against forced vaccines and will not submit.
That includes a lot of truck drivers, construction workers, manufacturing assembly line workers, river towboat deckhands, HVAC professionals, teachers, nurses, and many others. There are probably 80 to 100 million Americans impacted by this overreach of governmental authority. Biden is only DIVIDING Americans into separate ideological camps. He told us last year that he would be the president of ALL the people, and help ALL the people, not just one political party.......... he campaigned on getting everybody together, as in "Can't we all just get along"? He has totally forgotten all of that with this new vaccine mandate! He sounded really hateful and threatening in his speech. You should all find it on youtube and view the entire speech if you haven't already.
