To the customer bi-tching about her bank card not working at our store and no where else. Contact your damn bank and ask them to stop blocking it. You keep blaming us at fault but we have zero control factors over your card. If you'd contact the damn bank you'd be able to sort this out rather than be an @$$ about it every damn time. Kroger holds zero fault for why your card isn't working.
Exactly. Kroger cannot and will not be held responsible for a customers card not working. It's not krogers choice to say the card works. It's not even the customer's choice. The customer's bank has the total choice on saying if a card works.

Was it a issue at fuel center? It cracks me up Kroger gas pumps have a sign saying that credit/debit cards may have a hold. Kroger blames this on the bank but I am not too sure it's the bank.
I have talked to several people who have worked at banks. They say you need to run it as credit not debit. Lets say you have $500.00 in the bank. You pump $80.00 in gas and you ran it as Debit. THAT IS YOUR OWN FOUGHT and that could be both the store and the bank. But I have hard people complain about running as credit and it still acting up. That would not be the Bank as long as you ran as credit your bank will show $1.00 until it clears may take a few days. So if you have $500.00 in the bank and pumped $80.00 it's gonna show $1.00 then in a few days it will show $420.00 so don't go and spend $430.00 because you will have a -$10.00 once it clears.
Now the best think to do is go to the Window and pay they will run as credit. If they run as debit then they are a muddle head. And I heard someone complain a cashier ran as debit and the store had to take care of it.

Then whose fault is it when that happens?
Specifically who needs to be held responsible when this happens?
Kroger is grossly incompetent and grossly mismanaged and remains on the market through shear momentum alone, sure. Obviously.
But...
We are dealing with customers who are completely and totally unable to tell us which pump they are on, how many dollars they would like to put on that pump, and how much of an available fuel discount they would like to use.
Customers who claim that a large single digit number of pumps are broken... because they are mentally unable to press a fuel grade button. Any grade. Please.
IT'S BEEPING. AND FLASHING. PRESS ONE. ****.
I had a customer who may or may not have have pumped diesel into her gasoline car once.
I think she was just probably so tarded that she mistook the previous transaction for hers and pumped regular unleaded instead.
I'd prefer to think she ruined her car half a mile down the road and died in a cardboard box next to the interstate.
But, then I thought... that sounds better than clocking in every day.
Makes me wonder who the drooling retard really is.

Exactly. We get blamed for them being too poor to buy stuff. Not our fault. Cashiers do not make enough money to buy groceries for people.
And what makes them "think" it's our "fault" that customers cannot afford to buy their own groceries?
Answer: its not.
However, I've seen management and customers have an angry meltdown when we do not accept or take the blame. I mean seriously. They. Have. A. F*cking meltdown.
