Why would you willingly donate to a union when most of you already pay dues? What have they ever done for you in times when a new contract wasn't in negotiation?
Stupid question....don't all the locals have a "strike fund"? Union dues set aside to support union members when a strike happens? If a local calls for a 3 week strike, isn't is kind of BS they don't have the resources to actually support their members? Yes, a strike is to get better "something", but when you are on strike your not having any income or very limited, isn't any strike gain off set by the lack of income during the strike? Yes, I know there might be a gain in the long run, but not all of the 8K care about the long run, they are day2day or will not work for the company in 6 months.

BAM! This ^. I belong to the United Steel Workers and they don't do sh!t for us. ---Oh, except take our money.
I question the intelligence not only of anyone who would donate to the striking fools, but also of anyone who thinks that a payroll deduction given to a corrupt union that feeds a left-wing socialist political party that is destroying our country is acceptable!
And now the strike is over, with both sides reporting nothing but "zero progress" in negotiations since it started, on top of the childish media attacks on each other. Let's see what bs contract the union settled for this time...
